After the presents have been unwrapped and the Christmas leftovers wrapped up, there’s one more event before we welcome in the New Year.
The Boxing Day sales are an annual shopping ritual for bargains hunters and while they don’t officially start until December 26 there are plenty of deals already being offered by retailers.
If you missed out on the major sales events leading up to Christmas, or if what you really wanted wasn’t under the tree this year, you’ll be able to snag deals on just about anything during the end-of-year sales.

Discount retailer Big W’s sale starts online from December 25 and in store from December 26 with offers running until January 6, 2021.
And one of the deals is a shopping favourite – a Dyson vacuum. The coveted brand is famous for its cordless vacuum cleaners but they come with a big price tag so bargain hunters are always on the look out for discounts.
Big W will have the Dyson V7 Animal Origin vacuum for $449, a saving of $250.

There are plenty of options to stock up on bedding with half price deals on Tontine and Jason quilts and pillows and Sistema and Decor food storage containers and Circulon and Tefal cookware will also be 50 per cent off.
There is also a JVC 55 Inch TV for $549.
Big W isn’t the onlyretailer offering discounts on Dysons as part of the Boxing Day sales with Bing Lee and The Good Guys cutting the price on the Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Vacuum to less than $500.
Here is what else to look out for.
Myer will have 50 per cent off homewares including dinner sets, glassware and cookware.
There will be big discounts on men’s fashion, women’s shoes, bags, clothing and accessories, as well as 20 per cent off kitchen appliances, microwaves, personal care, irons and vacuum cleaners.
For kids who didn’t get spoiled enough, there’s also 40 per cent off toys.
There will be sales on offer right though to mid-January, including one-day deals so keep your eyes open.

Shoppers can expect major discounts across all categories, from fashion to footwear.
There will be up to 50 per cent off brands like Calvin Klein, Superga and Dyson.
Women’s and men’s fashion will be heavily discounted, including up to 30 per cent off designer fashion labels like Chloé and Jimmy Choo as well as women’s intimate apparel from Berlei, Calvin Klein and Jockey.
A range of beauty products from popular brands such as Guerlain and YSL Beauty will be up to 30 per cent off.
There will also be free delivery on online orders over $50 for those who prefer to avoid the crowds.
With overseas travel off the table, Aldi has the perfect Boxing Day Special Buys – discounted camping products.
The items go on sale on Saturday, December 26, but you will need to be quick as there will be limited stock available.
The hot deals include a cast-iron cooking set for $99.99, a 55 litre ice box for $129 and a four person pop-up tent for $49.99.
From December 24 to 28, Amazon Australia will be offering discounts across its thousands of products.
Some deals are already up for grabs, with Kindle e-readers now available from $119 and the all-new Echo Dot 4th Generation for $59.
From Christmas Eve, you’ll be able to score 40 per cent off the retail price of selected Sennheiser in-ear noise cancelling headphones and more.
There are also deals on Bonds and Calvin Klein.

The retailer is offering a range of bargains, slashing $70 off the price of Samsung Galaxy Buds Live popular earphones, now $248, according to news.com.au’s Best Of shopping section. Plus, you can pick up a JBL Boombox 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker for $130 less at $498 and there are plenty more deals to come.
Furniture and homewares retailer Freedom is slashing the prices of many of its products from December 22 to 26.
All mattresses are up 50 per cent off and the Sealy Jackman Mattress is now $1749 (down from $3499). That’s a saving of $1750.
You can also score 25 per cent off sofas and more.
If The Iconic’s 2019 Boxing Day deals are anything to go by, you can expect to see the retailer offer some huge discounts across a range of products and brands.
Stocking over 1000 brands (and tens of thousands of products) across fashion, beauty, kidswear and more, there’s likely to be plenty on offer.
